Via Sophia is an innovative feminist ministry for Catholics that love their faith but want more from their church. Via Sophia strives to “fill the gap” left by a patriarchal, homophobic and out-of-touch Catholic hierarchy by providing creative pop-up liturgies, dynamic preaching and quality spiritual care for Catholics seeking a renewed way to practice their faith.
Via Sophia is rooted in a Catholic heritage, but celebrates the rich theological and religious diversity of our pluralistic world. All offerings strive to be welcoming to people of diverse races, cultures, sexualities, genders and gender expressions who want to experiment with ancient Christian practice in a modern and inclusive way.
